Liverpool goalkeeper Vítězslav Jaroš has a contract expiring at the end of this season.

According to inFotbal.cz, Liverpool have decided to retain the 23-year-old by offering him an extension.

They state the ‘terms of the contract are agreed’ by the stopper on ‘spiced up’ conditions.

Liverpool initially signed Jaroš for their academy from Slavia Prague in 2017 and he made his first team debut in October when he came off the bench against Crystal Palace.

Later that month, the Czech Republic international made his first start in EFL Cup win over Brighton & Hove Albion. These have been his only appearances for the Reds’ senior team.

Arne Slot has mainly used Caoimhín Kelleher as Alisson Becker’s deputy over Jaroš this season. Despite this, the Merseyside club are refusing to let him leave and have tied him down to a new contract.

The details of the new contract hasn’t been reported by inFotbal.cz, but they state it’ll be for ‘several more seasons’. They haven’t provided any further explanation on the ‘spiced up’ terms.

According to the Czech outlet, Liverpool will send the player out on loan to one of the top five European leagues in the summer window. There’s a possibility of Jaroš moving to Ligue 1, while they pointed out La Liga was also an option last summer.

For now, he’s agreed the terms of new contract with Liverpool.
