Having returned to Tottenham after his loan at Napoli, Tanguy Ndombélé’s future in London is shrouded in mystery.
There have been claims that Ange Postecoglou wants to give him a chance to impress during pre-season, while some from Turkey believe an agreement has been struck with Galatasaray.
One thing has never been questioned, however, and that’s the Tottenham player’s talent, which is also his biggest issue, as explained by Cristian Stellini, former assistant to Antonio Conte at Spurs.
Speaking to 1 Football Club, relayed by Calcio Napoli 24, he sat down and discussed a variety of matters, including Ndombélé.
“Otherwise, left to himself, he tends to get lost. He’s 25 by now, he is no longer young and it’s necessary to take a certain path.”
This isn’t the first time something like this has been said about the player, who has shown that he can thrive in the right environment.
He did so at Lyon, which led to Tottenham spending a lot of money on him, which they now might be regretting.
Since joining Spurs in 2019, Ndombélé has only made 91 appearances for the club, scored 10 goals and provided nine assists.
