Manchester United are again being linked to Lyon fullback Malo Gusto.
The initial reports regarding Red Devils interest in the 19-year-old date back to August, when French outlet L’Equipe claimed there was contact with the player’s entourage.
A summer move may not have happened back then, but the Frenchman remains a target for Manchester United, according to Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg.
On Twitter, he brings the ‘exclusive’ news claiming Gusto is ‘very highly rated’ at Old Trafford, becoming one of their top targets for the right-back position.
The youngster is labelled as a ‘big solution’ for next summer, with Manchester United chiefs estimating his price at between €30m and €40m.
It seems to be no secret Manchester United look for new options for the right-back role, and according to Plettenberg, the other two names in the wish list are Dutch. One of them is Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, who’s ‘still in’ the Red Devils notebook, as well as Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries, who Erik ten Hag is said to be ‘pushing for’.
