Manchester City are one of the clubs in the picture for FC Porto youngster Cardoso Varela, according to a report from France.
Last summer, the 15-year-old was promoted from the Portuguese club’s U15 side to the U17s, and has also represented them in the UEFA Youth League this season.
The winger has caught the attention of various European clubs, including Manchester City, as per Foot Mercato.
The report explains that several observers have already fallen in love with the Portugal U17 international.
Despite his young age, he made three appearances in the UEFA Youth League, and his situation at the club ‘remains precarious’ due to his contract situation. Varlea, who will turn 16 years of age in October, has a deal expiring at the end of this season.
The teenager has no shortage of admirers and Foot Mercato focuses on Paris Saint-Germain’s interest.
In addition to PSG, Manchester City, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are all on the ‘lookout to enlist him’.
It’s claimed all the aforementioned clubs except PSG have ‘made a concrete offer’ to Varela, who is currently ‘spoiled for choice’. There could be movements in this case in the coming months.
