Mario Balotelli has another five days to find a new club for himself. The Liverpool striker is reportedly in Nice to hold discussions with the Ligue 1 club, but nothing is certain yet.
Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, has been offering the Italian striker to several clubs in the hope of reviving his career. According to L’Equipe on Saturday, Mario Balotelli has been offered to Bordeaux manager Jocelyn Gourvennec by the striker’s agent.
In fact, Gourvennec was even asked about the rumours of being offered the chance to sign Balotelli, to which he responded: “It’s not the reality.”
Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio also provided an update on Balotelli’s future last night.
He claimed Palermo are interested in signing Balotelli. The Serie A club owner Maurizio Zamparini even had a phone call with Balotelli during the day, and the player has given his approval for the move.
Palermo’s initial offer is believed to be very low, whilst OGC Nice are still in the picture.
Di Marzio, however, reports Balotelli isn’t really too keen on signing for the Ligue 1 club. The 26-year-old has already met Nice’s president and manager, but the talks weren’t really productive.
