Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte now reveals the upcoming steps of Andreas Pereira, who, at this moment, is very unlikely to stay at Flamengo.

With the Rio de Janeiro side delaying all their moves to sign him on a permanent deal from Manchester United, the midfielder is set to have his farewell match for the club tonight. Then he’s expected to have some time off in Londrina, Brazil, the home city of his family, and return to England.

It’s still not certain where Pereira will be playing next season, as recent reports have been claiming that Fulham agreed to a deal with the Red Devils to buy the player this summer.

Globo Esporte say the Cottagers placed a bid worth €10m plus €3m in bonuses. Still, the negotiations are said to be ‘underway’.

It’s said Andreas Pereira is ‘awaiting contacts’ with Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag to ‘define the future’. He won’t need to take part in pre-season training so soon, since he’s been playing in Brazil, and now needs to know if he’ll join the club for the trip to Australia.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Red Devils accepting Fulham’s bid, since they had agreed to sell the player to Flamengo for €10m, with the Brazilian club giving up later.

What could perhaps make a difference here is that Pereira was really keen on staying at the Rio de Janeiro club, even though he’s have made 40% less than he used to in his contract with Manchester United.

So as Fulham continue the talks to land him, perhaps they’re just waiting to see the player’s response, as he officially returns to being a Red Devil this week.
