Yerry Mina left Everton after his contract with them expired on June 30th and he’s yet to decide his next move.

Earlier this month, TuttoMercatoWeb stated Lille and Beşiktaş are both interested in signing the defender on a free transfer in this window. It was also stated there are ongoing contacts with the Ligue 1 side.

During an interview with AS in Colombia, the former Everton man insisted that he’s not in a hurry to make a decision on his future.

“I am waiting for God’s direction. Let it be a place where his presence is with me. I just want to be prepared for the moment that touches me, wherever, go with everything,” he said.

“We are in talks… In France there are also options, but the transfer window is just beginning and I am calm.”

The centre-back’s five years at Everton were hampered by multiple injuries, and he made 99 appearances for them.

Meanwhile, former Juventus man Juan Cuadrado, who’s also currently without a club, has backed the 28-year-old to make a switch to Serie A this summer.

“The most important thing is that he can listen to God’s direction, where he can be well and happy with his family. He has all the characteristics to play for any team in Italy and it would be a blessing if he can be there,” Cuadrado told AS.

Sean Dyche overlooked Mina for most of this year, before giving him opportunities in the last four league games. The player ended up making eight appearances last season.

The centre-back scored the late equaliser in Everton’s 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers in May and that was crucial in helping the Toffees finish two points outside the relegation zone.
