Moussa Sissoko has another four days to seal a transfer away from Newcaslte. The Championship side are reportedly holding out for €40m, with the player strongly linked to some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
According to Italian website Il Messaggero, Juventus are ready to revive their interest in Sissoko. The Serie A giants failed to sign Paris-Saint Germain’s Blaise Matuidi, and will now turn their attention towards the Newcastle star.
Il Messaggero say Juventus are ready to renew contacts with Sissoko’s representatives, who are said to be already speaking to several English clubs, to understand the margins of the negotiations.
Marotta has apparently allocated €25m to sign a midfielder, but that’s unlikely to be enough.
Juventus, however, have other alternatives as well. Axel Witsel, Luiz Gustavo, and Hector Herrera are also on their wishlist, so it’d be interesting to see if they can strike a deal with Newcastle.
Unless a club can offer Newcastle a player or players on loan, then the club are going to be unwilling to come down from their valuation of Sissoko.
