Galatasaray boss Igor Tudor has already started planning for next season, and he’s identified Manchester City’s Wilfried Bony as a potential target report SporX.
With Lukas Podolski set to depart from Galatasaray for Vissel Kobe, Tudor wants a proven goalscorer to replace the former German international. With regards to Manchester City owned Bony, Sporx say the Croatian has told the Galatasaray board: “Yes his statistics are not good enough but that doesn’t tell the whole story. He has huge potential. He can be a great signing for us.”
Sporx claim Galatasaray will commence official talks with Manchester City in the coming weeks and the Turkish club are also planning to use their former striker Didier Drogba to help land the Ivorian international.
Bony’s career has gone backwards after his move from Swansea City to Manchester City, and he needs to return to form ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has recently been selecting either Saido Berahino or Peter Crouch ahead of Bony, and his days with the Premier League club look to be coming to an end.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola doesn’t see Bony in his long term plans, with the Spaniard having good young prospects at his disposal in Enes Unal, Kelechi Iheanacho and Gabriel Jesus.
