With claims from Italy stating that Manchester United and Inter Milan are edging closer to an agreement for the transfer of André Onana, it’s only natural to see the Italian club moving for a replacement.
The man they appear to be going after is Hugo Lloris, who still has a year left on his contract at Tottenham.
The Frenchman has made it clear he felt his time at Spurs was over, and while there have been offers from Saudi Arabia, he has yet to succumb, with Foot Mercato reporting that Inter are now making their move.
While there had been some talks that Spurs could let Lloris go free for services rendered, Foot Mercato reckon there could still be compensation, as Inter ‘won’t spend a big sum’ to get him.
The belief here is that a move to Serie A could allow the Tottenham icon to ‘live a final challenge at a high level’ and to prove that he still has what it takes after some suggestions he was losing his touch because of his advancing (footballing) years.
One to keep an eye on.
