After appearing to have one foot out of Wolverhampton Wanderers, it seems Roderick Miranda is going nowhere in the January transfer window.
The player was said to be close to a move to Portuguese side Braga, with reports from Portugal claiming things were quite advanced.
But after some time of silence, the local press are back mentioning the defender’s name, this time saying the deal is not happening.
As newspaper O Jogo covers Braga’s moves in the transfer market today, they recall that Roderick Miranda was once a target, but now isn’t even considered.
They don’t really give a reason why the transfer collapsed, but claim that Braga have ‘failed’ in signing him and now go for other targets.
It should be a matter of waiting and see if Braga will be back for the player next summer. Despite starting the season as a regular option for manager Nuno Espírito Santo, Roderick hasn’t started a Championship game since October, so perhaps that could influence a transfer.
