Dennis Praet’s time at Leicester City didn’t hit the heights some expected but it certainly wasn’t a disaster.
He made over 100 appearances for the Foxes but didn’t manage to be a regular in the Championship last season.
After transfer rumours in the January window came to nothing, Praet was set for a summer of being to make his own choice after his Leicester City contract expired.
Following weeks of uncertainty, Praet is now on the verge of joining Royal Antwerp.
That comes from HLN in Belgium, who state that the deal is nearing completion and Praet will replace the departed Mandela Keita.
The player is ‘taking his medical tests’ ahead of the move and there is little doubt about whether it will be successful or not.
There was interest from other clubs but Praet is said to have been keen on a move back to Belgium, with Leicester City’s asking price in January having proved to be an issue for a return at that time.
