Swansea City manager target Kim Hellberg has been offered a new contract by Hammarby. But this contract offer was made a week ago.
That’s according to Fotboll Direkt, who report that Swansea are yet to make an official offer to him. In fact, none of the clubs interested in him have made an offer as yet.
They report that Hellberg has been offered a new contract by Hammarby. They are confirming reports from England which have stated the same.
Hellberg is current in England for talks with clubs. Swansea are believed to be one of them. Hammarby confirmed yesterday that he was in London, but there has been no updates since that point.
A report in England stated he had been offered a new deal by the Swedish club. Fotboll Direkt confirm that is the case. Their information has been confirmed by ‘independent sources’. But according to them, the offer is not new. It was made about a week ago.
The size of the offer or the contract length has not been made clear. British analysts have told the outlet that Hellberg can earn around €900,000 to €130,000 a year from the likes of Swansea or other teams in the Championship.
That would be a big upgrade on his current deal, although the figures of that aren’t made clear either. His current contract runs until 2026 and includes a buyout clause. It is likely that Hammarby have offered significantly improved terms.
