Swansea City, Queens Park Rangers and Reading have emerged as contenders for signing Rajiv van La Parra.

That’s what Voetbal International are reporting and state the three Championship clubs have a ‘concrete interest’ in the winger.

Red Star Belgrade took the 29-year-old from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2019 and his stay in Serbia came to an end after they released him in April. He’s now looking for a new club.

PEC Zwolle have the Dutchman in their transfer list, while Mexican side also follow the player.

According to the report, Van La Parra’s desire is to return to England, where he had spells with Wolves, Brighton, Huddersfield and Middlesbrough in the past.

VI states the Covid-19 crisis has not made it easier for the attacker to find a new club, but he now has ‘several options’, including Swansea, QPR and Reading, because he is available on a free transfer.

The report’s title reads ‘Van La Parra’s patience rewarded: return to England beckons’.

Although the former Wolves man is followed by the likes of Steve Cooper, Mark Warburton and Veljko Paunović, the magazine doesn’t specify as to which club will be able to secure his services.

Either way, a move to Liberty Stadium, Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium or Madejski Stadium is on the cards, and it will be interesting to see who wins that race.
