Despite André Ayew featuring constantly under Steve Cooper these days, his future at the Liberty Stadium still isn’t guaranteed.

His salary is deemed very high for a Championship side, and if Swansea can get them off their wage bill, it could go a long way for the team’s finances going forward.

Reports suggest a number of clubs are interested, with Lazio the latest, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, as the Serie A side continue to look for an extra option up top.

It’s stated the Ghana international has emerged ‘in the last few hours’ as a possibility, also mentioning that Sampdoria are apparently keeping an eye on the 29-year-old with just under a week left in the transfer window.

No more details are mentioned, but Ayew is said to be an alternative to Odsonne Edouard, currently at Celtic, as the young Frenchman is deemed too expensive for Lazio.

The former Marseille man has featured in the past three Championship games, including this weekend’s 3-0 victory over Birmingham.
