Swansea City winger Ronald is attracting attention from multiple markets ahead of the final weeks of the transfer window, with newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City among the clubs showing interest in the Brazilian.
Journalist João Van Boysen reports Coventry City are keen on the 25-year-old, while Brazilian side Corinthians and clubs from Saudi Arabia are also in the mix as potential suitors.
There is no indication at this stage that one club has moved further than another. Instead, the report presents all three as interested parties as Ronald’s future begins to attract attention.
Interest building around Ronald
For Swansea, the growing list of admirers reflects Ronald’s importance last season. The winger made 49 appearances across all competitions, contributing five goals and five assists as he established himself as a consistent option for the Championship club.
Now Coventry’s involvement is notable given their recent promotion to the Premier League, while Corinthians are again linked after previously showing interest in Ronald last year.
That move never materialised, but the Brazilian club have now resurfaced as a potential destination.
Swansea signed Ronald from Grêmio Anápolis in 2024, after a brilliant loan spell in Portugal, for a reported €1.5m (£1.3m). His value has risen since then, with Transfermarkt currently estimating the winger’s market value at €3m (£2.6m).
Swansea may face decisions
Again, at this stage there is no suggestion that Swansea City have received formal offers, nor is there any indication that Ronald is close to leaving.
He remains under contract at Swansea until June 2027, leaving the Welsh club in a relatively strong position as interest in the winger begins to grow. Having signed the Brazilian in January 2024, Swansea are under no immediate pressure to cash in.
The 25-year-old has also featured in all three of Swansea City’s pre-season friendlies so far, suggesting he remains firmly part of the club’s plans.
However, with Coventry, Corinthians and Saudi clubs all credited with interest, the Championship side could soon find themselves dealing with growing attention for one of their established first-team players.
