Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri is already making a positive impression at loan club Granada, and winning plaudits too.

That’s at least if the latest comments from manager Alexander Medina to Sport890 are to be believed, with him praising the Manchester United man today.

Pellistri joined Granada on loan at the end of the January transfer window, electing to return to Spain in search of regular playing time.

He’s been out of the picture under Erik ten Hag this season, struggling to get into the squad never mind secure playing time and so has moved to Spain again to try and resolve the issue.

It’s the third loan spell he’s had in La Liga since joining Manchester United in October 2020, with a double spell at Alaves, first joining them in January 2021 and then again that summer.

He’s immediately been thrown into the deep end and impressed, with a goal and assist in two games so far, both of those coming in the recent 3-3 draw with Barcelona at Camp Nou.

That’s earned him plenty of attention and praise from his current manager, who has admitted he’s been surprised by the Manchester United youngster so far.

“Facu Pellistri surprised me in the first talk we had, in these 2 weeks of work he has given us a lot at stake and in defensive solidarity,” he said.

“I looked for Pellistri because he knew what he could give us. He meets all the conditions on the wing, he had his personal ambition for growth and that leaves me happy.”
