After weeks and weeks of talk about it, we are now at the very, very end of the Diego Llorente exit from Leeds United saga.

The news comes from Gianluca Di Marzio, who took to Twitter to reveal that AS Roma and the Whites are ‘sealing the agreement’ for the defender.

While this was widely expected, there is a big twist in all this, and that’s the change in formula that will be agreed by Leeds.

The initial reports suggested there would be an option to buy of around €5-6m that would become compulsory should certain goals be met, but that is no longer the case.

Now, the Italian journalist claims it will be a ‘simple loan’ with no option or obligation to buy attached to it.

Once the Llorente deal is done, Roma and Leeds will ‘also work to agree’ on a simple loan deal for Rasmus Kristensen, who wants out of Elland Road, just like the Spaniard, and seems keen to work under José Mourinho next season.
