Arsenal seem to be getting some competition over signing Grêmio midfielder Bitello.
As the Italian media shares some news on the race for the player, they claim that Torino are now set to try to sign him.
The information is brought by TuttoMercatoWeb, and says the Brazilian ended up ‘in the sights’ of the Serie A side.
Torino’s attempt is seen as a ‘surprise move’, and only happened because Arsenal are ‘delaying’ their attempt for Bitello.
In fact, it was the very same TuttoMercatoWeb who, earlier this week, claimed the Gunners had an agreement for the transfer.
That report was soon turned down in Brazil, not only by the local media, but also by people from Grêmio claiming Arsenal were still to place an offer for the midfielder.
So it’s interesting that the Italian media is so involved in this story, and now adding a Serie A club to the race.
According to recent reports, Grêmio are demanding just €10m for the sale, and that gives many other clubs the chance to fight for him, certainly including Torino.
