There’s currently a situation at Galatasaray that is almost amazing Fotospor, and it involves Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombele.
For once, they aren’t talking about how badly he has played or his physical fitness, but the Turkish outlet look into the situation of forward Kerem Akturkoglu and manager Okan Buruk, who are labeled as the two earning the least at the club.
Fotospor tries to put it in perspective when they explain that the 25-year-old winger ‘earns in a year’ what Galatasaray are paying the Tottenham man ‘in a month’.
As for the manager, he earns about twice as much as Akturkoglu, but that’s still way off others in the club.
The problem for Buruk is that his contract with Galatasaray ends at the end of the season, just like Ndombele’s current loan deal, as the mishmash of performances the Tottenham midfielder has put together in Turkey means the option to buy in the deal is highly unlikely to be triggered.
As for Akturkoglu, who has 12 goals and eight assists in 37 appearances for his club, his deal ends in 2026, but there appears to be some frustration since there has ‘not even been a single indication’ that his contract will be renewed in the near future despite his achievements.
Just food for thought when comparing that to Ndombele’s one assist in 22 appearances in all competitions.
