Sandro Ramirez’s transfer rumour has gone around in several Spanish circles over the past few weeks or so. At several stages, Sport Witness has pointed out that perhaps Spanish clubs have been too optimistic about the terms Everton would agree to, and certainly media friendly to those clubs have been, and a shock was possible.

It seems that shock came sometime over the past week, and that’s completely shaken up the transfer claims. At one point it was presented as almost a matter of time before Sandro would be joining Valencia from Everton, at least for the rest of the season, but now things are quite different.

First Valencia were edged back from the brink due to demands from Everton, and then Malaga were brought into the picture. That seemed a surprise too, because Malaga wouldn’t be able to get anywhere near Sandro’s wages. Whilst the financial difficulties of a deal were mentioned, they probably weren’t mentioned quite strongly enough.

Now Villarreal have been dragged into things, in a line of thinking which makes some sense. Sandro nearly joined Villarreal before plumping for Everton instead during the summer transfer window.

Villarreal would move for Sandro should they sell Bakambu, which would give them the finances for the deal. Super Deporte say Sandro is up for the return to Spain, having already given the nod to Valencia.

Sevilla are also mentioned as a possibility, and the growing interest can only be good for Everton.
