Wanting to sign Tiemoué Bakayoko back in 2017, it’s understandable that Paris Saint-Germain would still be interested in the player.

The Chelsea midfielder may not have had the best few seasons since his move to Stamford Bridge, but he still performed at an adequate level, and there will be someone out there, like Leonardo, who feels the 25-year-old can still get back to his best.

As well as the Brazilian technical director, it appears OGC Nice are also strong believers in Bakayoko’s ability, as Le10 Sport claim on Thursday he is one of the avenues they are exploring ahead of the summer transfer window.

Hidden right at the bottom of an article about Lucas Digne, the bit of information suggests the Ligue 1 side have ambitious plans for the upcoming season, as we all know neither the left-back nor the Chelsea player will be cheap.

It was announced yesterday by the same outlet that Frank Lampard’s side would be looking for a fee of around €35m for Bakayoko, which is a considerable investment for most clubs, and especially for one from France not called Paris Saint-Germain.

That’s why, when it comes to Nice and the current Monaco loanee, we’ll believe it when we see it, as the avenue leading him to France’s capital makes a lot more sense, especially when you take into account it was Leonardo who brought him to Milan on a temporary deal two years ago.
