Atlético Madrid have joined the battle to sign Crystal Palace’s Marc Guéhi.
That’s according to Radio Marca, and journalist Matteo Moretto covers the latest on the La Liga side.
Guéhi has seven months left on his contract at Crystal Palace. Oliver Glasner has already confirmed he won’t sign an extension.
The centre-back came close to joining Liverpool last summer before the move collapsed. His performances and contract situation make him an interesting option for several clubs.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona have already been credited with interest in the 25-year-old, along with Premier League sides. Los Rojiblancos have now been thrown into the mix.
Radio Marca report Diego Simeone’s side entering the battle for the Crystal Palace star is a ‘surprise’. According to the journalist, Atlético are ‘very attentive’ to his situation and ‘very interested’ to secure the defender’s services.
The Madrid club are keen and Moretto claims they have made an approach.
“The new development is that Atlético Madrid have also contacted his representatives,” he said.
Radio Marca add Barcelona have also asked about the Crystal Palace player.
Guéhi has played 20 matches for the Eagles this season.
