With Bradley Dack the only one of six signings above the age of 20 arriving at Sunderland, it’s fair to say that the Black Cats are banking on youth under Tony Mowbray next season.
However, the former Blackburn man could soon be joined by another, more, let’s say, experienced signing, as the Championship side are reportedly trying to sign Colin Dagba from Paris Saint-Germain.
The news comes from Foot Mercato, who headline the article by stating that an ‘exit door is opening’ for the right-back, which Sunderland have stuck their foot in.
Loaned out to Strasbourg last year, the defender never managed to impose himself with the Ligue 1 side, and was sent back to Paris.
With two years left on his current contract, it’s written that he could ‘bounce back in England’, because discussions are ‘currently taking place’ with Sunderland.
The idea would be to agree on a permanent deal for the 24-year-old, and that’s what all parties are currently working on.
Arriving at Paris Saint-Germain in 2016, the defender has made 77 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side, scored one goal and assisted another six.
