Sunderland and Brentford are in the picture to sign AC Milan’s Santiago Giménez in the winter market.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who report Sunderland and Brentford have enquired about the striker.
It’s not clear whether the Premier League duo have contacted his camp, Milan or both. However, Sunderland and Brentford are both presented as being keen on signing him.
The Mexico international left Feyenoord to join the Serie A side in January and managed six goals and three assists from 19 matches in the second half of last season.
He has one goal and two assists from 11 matches this season. The 24-year-old is yet to score in the league and has an assist from 627 minutes.
Sunderland and Brentford interest in Santiago Giménez may be welcomed by club

The Rossoneri’s priority is to sign a centre-back and a striker is ‘close second’ in January.
It’s claimed Milan would only be able to sign a new No.9 if Giménez is sold. This would suggest the Italian club are in favour of selling him in the next window and would be pleased with Sunderland and Brentford interest.
Giménez, for his part, remains confident of succeeding at the San Siro. He sees Milan as his present and future. Therefore, Sunderland and Brentford have to convince him to acquire his services in the next window.
Milan signing a new striker in January depends on whether Giménez moves elsewhere.
