According to HLN, Tottenham Hotspur are one of a number of Premier League clubs who could be interested.

Spurs are thought to be looking for a striker following injury to Harry Kane. The England captain will be out until the beginning of March at the earliest so if Mauricio Pochettino had considered bringing someone in then now is a good time.

The Argentine manager clearly doesn’t see a future for Vincent Janssen at the club and there doesn’t appear to be a great will to extend Fernando Llorente’s contract, which ends in June.

Other possible destinations, because they’re clubs looking for a striker, are named as Everton, Crystal Palace and West Ham. HLN claims Chelsea’s Marina Granovskaia has offered Batshuayi to ‘a number of them’.

There’s no specifics, but the suggestion is clearly there, and Spurs are a possible.

Chelsea would rather sell the player for €45m than loan him to AS Monaco for the rest of the current season, which is entirely understandable.

Opportunity knocks for Tottenham, yet it doesn’t seem a very Spursy type deal.
