Last month, we covered claims from Italy that Juventus’ Federico Chiesa has ended up on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar.
The winger has a year left on his deal, but his immediate future seems to be away from the Serie A side.
That’s according to Area Napoli, who say he’s ‘destined to leave’ Juve and Tottenham are mentioned as an interested party.
Napoli have been rumoured to be interested to sign the Italy international via a swap deal involving Giacomo Raspadori. Area Napoli have dismissed that and also the possibility of Chiesa arriving at the Naples club.
It’s claimed the 26-year-old has a ‘dream’ of playing in the Premier League, where Spurs have made the ‘first approach’ to secure his services.
The website adds the Old Lady are requesting a fee of €25-30m and an offer ‘would have already arrived’. This probably would have been tabled by the north London club.
AS Roma had initially shown interest in Chiesa but are no longer keen to sign him now. This would provide Tottenham an easy route to sign him and it needs to be seen whether they could seal the deal in the next few days.
Chiesa dreams of moving to England and Ange Postecoglou’s side can fulfil his wish this summer.
