Alexis Mac Allister’s fine displays for Brighton & Hove Albion have seen him draw attention from other clubs, including Manchester United.

The midfielder has scored 10 goals and registered two assists from 28 games this season. He was part of Argentina’s World Cup winning squad and impressed for the national team.

Mac Allister’s form for club and country may have convinced the Red Devils. Argentina journalist César Luis Merlo states Manchester United have shown specific interest in acquiring his services in the summer.

Erik ten Hag’s side have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in chasing the 24-year-old. César Luis Merlo further adds two out of these clubs are ‘already negotiating’ with Brighton over a deal for the South American.

The player’s father and agent, meanwhile, have been in England, monitoring the situation.

On March 31st, TuttoMercatoWeb reported Real Madrid want the Argentine and will have to battle with Manchester United and other English clubs for his signature. It was also said Roberto De Zerbi’s side value their star ‘from €150m’.

It’s worth noting there’s been a lot of transfer hype around Mac Allister recently, and it appears to be encouraged by his camp.

This indicates Mac Allister won’t be cheap for Manchester United or another club that want to sign him.
