For a while now, various claims from the Italian media have stated Tottenham Hotspur have an interest in Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu.
On August 27th, Corriere dello Sport stated the defender is trying to push for a move to the Premier League, where the likes of Spurs, Leicester City and West Ham United were named as suitors.
It was also said the 22-year-old’s entourage were convinced one of these clubs would come forward to sign the player before the window closes.
TuttoBolognaWeb, a website dedicating it’s coverage to the Serie A side, stated the north London club are still keen on the Japan international.
Bologna are demanding €25m to allow the player to leave, and there’s belief Fabio Paratici hasn’t made an offer close to that figure so far.
The outlet says it remains to be seen whether or not the ‘right offer’ from Nuno Espírito Santo’s side will arrive in the ‘next few hours’, suggesting the Italian club are waiting for Spurs to make an improved proposal.
Tomiyasu, for his part, ‘would gladly’ take the chance to play in England.
For that, Bologna need the ‘right offer’ and if there isn’t any ‘appropriate’ proposal, he will continue with his current employer.
