Victor Osimhen’s latest muscle injury may be the main reason he’s in many headlines from the Italian media today, but there’s other news which should draw the interest of Liverpool fans.
According to reports on Radio Kiss Kiss (which despite the odd name is actually the main radio coverage for Napoli), the Reds are coming for the striker next year.
The claims were made by the outlet’s director Valder De Maggio. Quoted by Napoli Magazine, he said that Liverpool have Osimhen as a serious target to reinforce their attack.
“There is strong, strong interest in Liverpool for Victor Osimhen. Then it will have to be seen whether the Reds will put pressure on Osimhen’s agent not to renew or not.”
It’s no secret that Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli at the end of the season, but just like De Maggio says, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will manage to convince the Serie A side.
The striker continues to be in great form for the Serie A side, with six goals in ten appearances, although this latest injury is expected to leave him out for a few weeks.
Transfermarkt currently has Osimhen’s price at €120m, and it will be no surprise if Liverpool have to pay more to reach deal with Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The Napoli chief is notoriously difficult to deal with.
