Tottenham Hotspur were one of the sides who showed interest in Nahitan Nández during the summer, and the efforts made by Spurs in signing him were confirmed by Cagliari sporting director, Stefano Capozucca.
The north London club were unable to take the midfielder away from the Serie A side. Back in October, the 26-year-old’s agent claimed Cagliari had “promised” to “do everything possible” to let his client leave in the winter market.
Calciomercato now state the Italian club ‘do not want to give away’ Nández next month, despite him ‘pushing to be sold’ in January.
When discussing the Uruguay international’s suitors, the website’s headline states Inter Milan and Antonio Conte’s side are ‘at the window’ for the player. Within the report, it’s explained ‘there is strong interest’ from both Spurs and the Serie A winners.
Nández has a €36m release clause in his contract, but the report states ‘the price drops’. They also have a video, where journalist Marco Demicheli provides more information on this case.
He claims Cagliari are aware they are not in a position to demand €36m and therefore, will request around €15m for Nández. Regarding Inter and Tottenham, the journalist says both sides have been ‘following him for a long time’.
