Manchester United interest in Benfica striker Gonçalo Ramos is today again highlighted by the Portuguese media.
This time it’s newspaper Record who mention this chase. It all starts with a story saying the Eagles are interested in signing Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord, and to explain that pursuit, they point out that Ramos may be leaving Lisbon at the end of the season.
It’s claimed that Manchester United are ‘not satisfied’ with the performances of Wout Weghorst, who’s loaned to the Red Devils from Burnley, and have decided to sign a new centre-forward for the next season.
According to Record, the €120m of Gonçalo Ramos’ release clause ‘doesn’t seem to scare’ Erik ten Hag’s side when it comes to signing the 21-year-old in the summer.
But Manchester United are not alone in that race, as the newspaper points out that the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid have watched the centre-forward in ‘many games’ and had ‘positive indications’ about the player.
So the Red Devils better get prepared for the competition, which only makes it more likely that Benfica will be able to make something close to that €120m price tag.
