Marc Muniesa to Girona is edging forward.
Spanish newspaper Sport reports that Muniesa is set to be welcomed as a big signing at Girona, someone to excite the club’s fans.
Muniesa came through Barcelona’s La Masia system, and has a good amount of Premier League experience, and whilst he’s not been a runaway success with either venture, it’s all adding to the excitement in Girona.
Sport say talks between Stoke City and Girona are ‘very advanced’. Marca explain that a transfer agreement being reached between the two clubs now seems ‘imminent’.
There’s no clear explanation of the finances involved in a transfer, or on what basis Muniesa will be moving to Girona, whether it be loan, permanent transfer, or a mixture of the two options.
Sport say Muniesa has even been spotted at Girona’s Motilivi stadium, which gives further indication it’s only the final details missing before the deal can be made official.
