According to Fanatik, Stoke City are still targeting Besiktas defender Dusko Tosic in this transfer window.
It seems likely the Serbian defender’s playing time with the Turkish club will be reduced after the recent arrival of Domagoj Vida, and Fanatik say if the right offer comes then the Besiktas board will consider selling the player.
Stoke City appointed Paul Lambert on Monday and it remains to be seen what his opinion would be on a potential transfer, unless it’s a club level interest.
Fanatik say French side Saint Etienne have joined the race for Tosic, alongside Stoke City, and that the Besiktas board will consider offers in the region of €5m.
In recent weeks Tosic has been linked with a move to the UK, with Everton and Celtic also reportedly taking an interest in the 32 year old.
The central defender has previous experience playing in England after a brief spell with QPR.
