Ever since Stoke City were relegated to the Championship, we’ve seen fewer and fewer stories involving the Potters in the foreign media.

Apart from the odd mention of Giannelli Imbula or the recent arrival of Rabbi Matondo, things are relatively quiet.

TuttoC.com in Italy change that on Thursday, however, as they claim Stoke are one of a handful of clubs taking an interest in Salvatore Trezza, an 18-year-old goalkeeper currently playing for AC Campodarsego in Serie D.

As random of a story as you get these days, but the website make it clear the youngster’s ‘top-notch performances’ in recent months have caught the eye of many scouts, including those from the bet365 Stadium.

Stoke, Granada, Malaga, Grasshopper Zurich and Lucerne are those actively taking an interest in Trezza.

One to keep an eye on.
