Bruno Guimarães is expected to leave Newcastle United in the summer, according to fresh reports in the rumour mill.
The information comes from AS journalist Eduardo Burgos, who claims that the Magpies’ star is ‘still on the market’.
It’s claimed that Guimarães is the ‘most likely’ player to leave Newcastle at the end of the season, and ‘further news’ is expected after the Copa America.
According to Burgos, the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain are all ‘fighting’ to land the Brazilian.
The Copa America will be quite big this year, with United States and Mexico taking part as guests. The tournament will take place between June 20th and July 14th, so there’ll be plenty of time for transfers after that.
Now with so many clubs in the race for the Newcastle star and the move potentially postponed until after an international competition, we wonder whether there’s any really accurate information on Bruno Guimarães’ future, or if it’s just speculation about a player who’s obviously been wanted by several European sides for a while now.
Bruno Guimarães has insisted repeatedly that he’s very happy at Newcastle United, with the club feeling similar, so there doesn’t appear to be an ‘on the market’ effort here.
