Bayern Munich has not given up on signing West Ham star Declan Rice and are unaware of any apparent rejection from him.
That’s according to BILD, who say ‘there is still hope’ at the Allianz Arena that they will be able to sign the England man this summer.
Rice has been heavily linked with a surprise move to Bayern Munich over the last few weeks, with it explained that manager Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the midfielder.
In fact, it is he who is pushing for a transfer to happen, and he has already spoken to Rice about a transfer, having already met him in London for a conversation.
The chances of Bayern getting a deal over the line have been questioned ever since, with it even recently claimed that the West Ham star was ‘irritated’ by the recent upheaval at the German champions.
That was followed by claims Rice was prioritising a move to Arsenal this summer and had sent ‘a rejection’ to Bayern in the process.
It seems that rejection hasn’t reached those in charge in Bavaria, though, with BILD reporting that ‘there is still hope’ at the club over a potential deal and they know ‘nothing’ about any supposed rejection from him.
Thus, they still think they’re very much in the mix to get him from West Ham, if he leaves as expected this summer.
