Following some very open quotes from Borussia Dortmund’s chairman of the board Hans-Joachim Watzke regarding their negotiations with Manchester United for Jadon Sancho, Ruhr Nachrichten bring their own information to the table.
The German outlet, who are very well connected to the Bundesliga side, explain that what they have found out mirrors what the BVB boss had to say, which is that everything is sorted out between the player and his former club.
Not only that, but Manchester United and Dortmund are also in agreement over the terms of the deal sending the winger back to Germany.
The hold-up, however, lies in the negotiations held between the Red Devils and their own player regarding his wages during his temporary spell away from Old Trafford.
It’s said ‘there are still disagreements’ between Manchester United and the winger, and the issue appears to be how much money they will have to pay Sancho from their end of any wage splitting between the two clubs.
This suggests that the Red Devils want the England international to give up some of his salary in order for him to move.
The percentage of his wages that Manchester United would have to pay isn’t revealed, but they seemingly don’t want to give him all of it if he were to leave the club in January.
A sticking point Dortmund will hope gets resolved fairly quickly.
