Newcastle United’s attempt to sign Sandro Tonali from AC Milan is so important for the Italian media that Gianluca Di Marzio‘s website has a page with live updates about the latest moves.
The journalist now brings some news which shows the meeting between the interested parties is done.
It’s first shown that Tonali’s agent Giuseppe Riso has already left the Palazzo Parigi. Asked if the transfer to Newcastle is done, they only said: “We’re leaving”.
Then in another update, Di Marzio reports and even shows a picture that Newcastle transfer man Steve Nickson has left the hotel as well.
It’s claimed he’s now on his way out of Milan after meeting Riso ‘to close the deal’.
Now despite saying that the transfer is ‘ever closer’, there’s still no definitive answer on whether the full agreement with Milan was reached.
