Earlier on Monday, we covered a report from Italy claiming Juventus weren’t in the running to sign Rubén Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
That came from Tutto Juve, who explained the price tag placed by Wolves on the midfielder was ‘out of reach’ for the Serie A side.
There’s a belief the Premier League side could ask for as much as €80m for the Portuguese, and even if that were to drop at €60m, it would be difficult for Juventus to justify such an expenditure.
It’s stated his name ‘has always been on the table in the meetings that Joan Laporta has had with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes’, and with a contract keeping him at Molineux until 2024, ‘his starting price would be around €60m’.
That being said, ‘Mendes’ good relationship with Wolves’ could ‘make things easier’ for Barcelona if they were to come knocking as they look for Sergio Busquets’ long-term replacement.
