As the German media today speaks about the future of Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich, we get to see several Premier League clubs mentioned.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are all named in a story from Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The problem is that not all those English sides have a big chance to land the 29-year-old, as he’s expected to rule out a couple of them.
According to Plettenberg, Chelsea and Manchester United are ‘not options’ for him, as he’s not keen on joining any ‘crisis clubs’, with Paris Saint Germain included in the list as well.
Only those called ‘top clubs’ are being considered. Besides Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City, there are also Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The story claims that Bayern Munich are prepared to sell Kimmich in the summer if they receive a decent offer. The player, meanwhile, is ‘open to discussion’ with the interested clubs.
Now it’s up for Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City to try their moves, while Chelsea and Manchester United should start gathering some arguments to leave his list of rejections.
Right now, he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €75m, and there are no signs of a renewal of his contract, which runs until 2025. No offers have arrived to the German club either, and perhaps Kimmich should wait for that before he decides who he’s rejecting.
