Leeds United youngster Mateo Joseph has ‘big teams in Europe’ very interested in him, with his display against Chelsea only further increasing the attention on him.
That’s according to Sport, who say ‘a star is born’ in England after his double in the 3-2 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The newspaper explains that the Cantabrian footballer ‘shone’ in the FA Cup duel against Chelsea, bagging a double in the game and presenting his ‘credentials’ to the ‘world of football’.
The youngster had not yet managed to score his first goals for Leeds before Wednesday’s game but took his chances when they came against the Blues and shone.
He ‘overwhelmed’ Chelsea with his performance and shouted “I’m here” to stands in celebration of his goals.
He ‘has football in his blood’ according to Sport, demonstrating his ability to play all across the attack and take advantage of any dangerous opportunity that came his way.
That didn’t go unnoticed in Spain and indeed there is a belief the Leeds youngster is already on the radar for several big teams in Europe, who are ‘very interested in him’.
Who those teams are isn’t mentioned and Leeds are well protected anyway as they have the youngster tied to a deal until 2028, but the belief is that he’s a name to keep an eye on moving forwards after his impressive performance at Stamford Bridge.
