After the news that Gareth Bale was sitting out training ahead of his potential move to Tottenham, Sergio Reguilón has done the same.
The left-back is said to be close to a move to North London, and while the Welshman was doing some gym work, the Spaniard was nowhere to be seen.
This is according to Mundo Deportivo, who explain that while Zidane ‘gave the bulk of the squad the day off after the preseason friendly’, some did attend, such as Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio or even Luka Jović.
Mundo state that Real Madrid ‘did not report’ the Spain international would be going in to recover from his sprained ankle in the statement on their website, suggesting he’s elsewhere at this present time.
We’ll have to see what comes of this, but his absence from the Valdebebas facilities could be a strong indicator his move to Tottenham might be right around the corner.
