In recent days there have been reports in the Japanese media STVV are interested in Leeds United target Yosuke Ideguchi.
The Championship side have been linked with the 21 year old in recent weeks, but the Belgian press also report the English club will face competition from STVV.
HLN claim STVV will be looking to recruit in the next window, as they look to maintain their good start to the season. The Jupiler club currently lie 5th in the league table, and Ideguchi is being linked with a move to Belgium in the new year.
However, HLN state STVV will face competition from Leeds United, who have been tracking the player since last month. HLN say Leeds have ‘specific interest’ in the player, and their competition is taken seriously.
Leeds United sporting director Victor Orta confirmed last month the club would be looking to recruit from Asia, and it later emerged the Japan international is the player they’re targeting.
It’s likely Leeds United will find it difficult to get a work permit for the central midfielder if they move in on him in January.
