Eintracht Frankfurt sports director Markus Krösche has insisted he is not set to join Liverpool, despite reports to the contrary.
Krösche has been linked with a move to Anfield at the end of this season, with Liverpool set to be on the hunt for a new sporting director as Julian Ward will be departing.
A report in England had linked Krösche with the position, having impressed in Germany in a similar role with RB Leipzig and Frankfurt, where he has been since 2021.
That rumour was categorically rejected in Germany earlier this week, with BILD insisting that Krösche had not had contact with Liverpool over the position and insisting he was very happy where he is.
The speculation continues, though, and that saw the German asked about it in the mixed zone following his side’s clash with Napoli in the Champions League.
And he further denied what had been reported, insisting the claims are nothing but speculation at this moment in time.
“It’s speculation. You have to ask the person who wrote it,” Sport 1 report him saying.
“I’m here and happy to be at Eintracht Frankfurt. We still have a lot planned and have developed very, very well. There is nothing more to say about it.”
