Romelu Lukaku should “speak or shut up” after the striker claimed he has details to shock the world following his failed move from Chelsea to Inter Milan this summer.
That’s at least according to Antonio Paganin, who believes the Belgian has lost all respect after hinting at details but not providing them.
Lukaku is currently at Roma after a busy and tumultuous summer transfer window in which he was bandied around Europe after it was made clear there was no place for him at Chelsea.
He had returned to the club after a loan deal at Inter Milan and appeared set to join the Italians on a permanent basis before their annoyance at his decision to talk to Juventus ended that particular idea.
A move to Juventus never happened either as their talks over a potential swap deal that would see him join and Dusan Vlahovic go to Chelsea failed to get off the ground.
That saw him eventually join Roma on loan, after turning down approaches from Saudi Arabia, despite the swell of anger and comments directed at him from Italy during and after the saga involving Inter and Juventus.
The Chelsea striker today insisted he’s not had his say on the matter but has details to reveal, something that hasn’t gone down well with Paganin.
“I had appreciated the silence up until now,” he said.
“The moment you say, ‘I will speak’, the respect that was there disappears from me. We are certainly missing something, but now either you speak or you shut up.”
