Several Spanish reports over the past few days have linked Sevilla with serious interest in Manchester City’s Joe Hart, whilst still mentioning Everton are keen on the goalkeeper too.
Hart doesn’t appear to be part of Pep Guardiola’s plans, and the England number one could soon find himself third choice at Manchester City if he doesn’t leave the club.
Having joined from Shrewsbury Town in 2006, Hart has been with Manchester City for a decade and whilst he had a poor Euro 2016, he’s not as bad as the recent downer surrounding him suggests.
Hart will prove a good signing almost wherever he goes, and Spanish newspaper Sport say on Thursday that Sevilla want him. The club are said to be ‘lurking’ with interest, as well as Everton.
The problem would surely come with wages, even on a loan or a transfer for a token fee. Manchester City would likely have to subsidise Hart’s wages if he went to Sevilla, or give him a pay off if it were a permanent deal.
That’s why Everton would remain the more likely option.
