Despite being a former Chelsea player, and the rivalry between the two London clubs, Fernando Torres sounds like a pretty big fan of Tottenham Hotspur.
Quoted by Spanish newspaper AS in their Tuesday edition, the former Liverpool striker explained: “It’s an amazing club with amazing supporters. When I played in England, it was always a special day when we visited White Hart Lane.
“It will be a difficult test. The kind of game we like to play. We really want to face Tottenham.”
Torres also explained how impressed he is with Mauriccio Pochettino and how the Argentine manager has successfully managed to mix youth and experience in his team at Spurs. Torres was also thrilled to be in Australia, explaining it’s one of those countries which everyone wants to visit.
