It seems Wolverhampton Wanderers’ technical advisor Fran Garagarza could be going somewhere else this summer.
This information is today brought by Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo, who share some news about the change of roles at Espanyol following their relegation to the second division.
The club currently don’t have a sports director in charge, and according to the story, the Wolves man is the ‘best positioned’ to take the job next season.
Those claims are also made by La Grada, who label him the ‘best placed’ for the job as well. Even though Garagarza is only an advisor at Molineux, but is still key to Julen Lopetegui, he was previously a director at Eibar.
Espanyol are about to have a big need to find cheap targets, and that’s something the Spaniard is expected to help them with, as he did that at Eibar for ten years.
There’s just no word on whether Garagarza would like to leave Wolves to make that move, but these claims won’t have been plucked from thin air.
Garagarza arrived at the club in November, brought in by Lopetegui.
