We’re not quite sure we believe this, but here goes: Spain’s Estadio Deportivo report Adrian San Miguel gave West Ham an ultimatum over his future with the club, concerning manager David Moyes.

The Seville regional sport newspaper claims: ‘Adrian made it clear to the club that if Moyes continued he would look for a way out in the summer. With this new scenario, the continuity in the Premier League of San Miguel can be viable, although Betis wants their team to be Adrian-Pau if Adan finally leaves. ‘

Adrian-Pau? Betis are in the process of signing Pau Lopez from Espanyol on a free transfer, and the idea would be to see the two battle for the shirt. Considering Pau’s good Espanyol season and the 23 year old’s potential, he’d likely be the favourite over Adrian.

That underlines the type of offer the West Ham stopper is realistically going to get from Spain, it’s unlikely a top La Liga club will be willing to make him number one.

With West Ham thought to be considering signing a new goalkeeper themselves, then Adrian isn’t really in a position to be making ultimatums, although he has suggested in the past he’d leave if not picked.

Estadio Deportivo add that Adrian is now back in Seville… for his holidays.
